D-School innovation Workshop - Generating Ideas for Effective Network Management

24.November 2011, 16:30-20:00, Kongresshotel Potsdam

Process

The Design Thinking Process is a human-centered set of methods and tools that combines approaches
found in design and ethnography with technology and business skills. We use this iterative process to
find out aboutpeople's hidden needs and match those with what is technologically feasible and what is
viable in terms of business strategy. The results at the end enrich the lifes of all stakeholders by creating
experiences which could be in any form, such as products, services, processes, events and even policies.
In this interactive workshop you work under the  guidance of the HPI School of Design Thinking in small
groups to create new and innovative ways to improve the handling of network manager's challenges.

Content

- problem analyses of the major challenges faced by network managers (in small groups)
- collection of first ideas for solutions (in small groups)
- emphasis on one selected solution statement
- prototypical implementation of the solution
- presentation of the results and feedback
